Stipends, Housing and Moving Allowances
The annual stipends for the 2012-2013 academic year will be as follows:
PGY 1 $51,000
PGY 2 $52,000
PGY 3 $54,000
In addition, you will receive a $4,800 annual housing allowance. Incoming residents receive a $750 expense allowance.
PTO
All residents receive four weeks of paid time off (PTO) as well as six paid holidays per year.
Health Insurance
Mercy provides residents health insurance options that are partially funded by Mercy Medical Center.
Other benefits include life insurance and short- and long-term disability. Optional benefits include dental insurance, vision insurance, reimbursement accounts and tax-deferred annuity plans. Residents also receive a PDA with software upon entering the program, free meals, various classes, lab coats and continuing education stipends.
